One of the highlights of visiting the Dubai Mall is seeing the fountain show! The fountain show itself only lasts a few minutes but this guide highlights the key areas to view the show from! Timings vary so check the website beforehand (click here!) and be where you want to view from early enough to secure a good space.

  1. Waterfront

  2. Apple Store Balcony

  3. Bridge to Souk Al Bahar Mall

  4. Burj Park (opposite side of the lake)

  5. Boardwalk

  6. Lake boat ride

1. Waterfront: This is the most common area for people to congregate! This is because it's where you come out from the mall and where there will be the most people, meaning people assume they're in the right place and stay there!

2. Apple Store Balcony: If you get here early enough to get a front row view then I'm sure this would give the best view as you're viewing from above!

3. Bridge to Souk Al Bahar Mall: I would suggest if you're viewing from here then to stand on the bridge closer to the Dubai Mall side.

4. Burj Park: This is a very empty area to view from as people tend to stay at the mall! It's easily reached when you come out of the mall by the lake, then head around the lake towards the right side to get to the back.

5. Boardwalk: This was always empty when we went past. It's an inflatable walkway over the lake and would give uninterrupted views. Great for anyone who wants to take photos guaranteed to have no other people blocking the view. It does cost a small amount (15-20 AED/£4) to enter and the view would be similar to that from Burj Park on a weekday. You can often find this for the cheaper price on Groupon.

6. Lake boat ride: This was the one we tried this time! It's roughly a 25 minute trip around the lake and you stop right by the fountains before the show starts. We did the 6:15pm tour in March and this tied in great for sunset. We chose to do this part of the iVenture Card pass (see own blog post) but I'm not sure I'd do it again! The cost is around 70 AED (£15).

Hope this helps!
